How much weight would you really like to lose?

If I was the “fat loss fairy” and was going to grant you one wish.  Just one. Not three like in a  “fairy” tale. Just ONE lousy wish. Imagine I could wave a magic wand to mysteriously “shrink” you down to your absolute perfect weight; what would that weight be?

How much would you weigh at your “perfect” weight… Not at a weight that you would settle for because you dare not desire to lose more, but the absolute ideal weight for you? Think big at this point. Go right out on a limb. Be outrageous. In a perfect world, what would be your perfect weight?

Do you tend to think to yourself “I would really love to weigh… X… but I would be happy if I only got halfway there. Even if I managed to lose just a little bit of weight, I would be happy. Anything would be better than what I weigh now. But to even vaguely contemplate my “perfect” weight…. No, no, it’s just too much to hope for. I couldn’t possibly get to ‘that’ weight!”

Stop at this point. Ask yourself this question: If he really was the “fat loss fairy” and I had the opportunity to choose my absolutely perfect weight…and he was going to grant me just ONE lousy wish…would I ask for my ‘perfect’ weight, or would I chicken-out and only ask for a small weight-loss instead of what I really want?

Hmmm… this is no time to settle for second best! One wish! What’s it going to be? How much do you really want to weigh? I dare you! Go for it…

What is ‘that weight’?

I have some fantastic news for you, and some not so great news. The bad news first; I am not a ‘fairy’ and I can’t grant you one lousy wish. Sorry to disappoint you.

Now for the good news… There is a part of your mind that can grant that wish for you! Whatever ‘that weight’ might be, you can get there. Your wish can and will be granted. The only reason you were not successful at your past weight-loss attempts is because you didn’t have the required information and understanding to work with your own inner ‘fat loss fairy’… further to that; with each and every failed attempt, you became more and more ‘dis-heartened’ You lost hope. You now have every reason to be hopeful. Inspired. Motivated. You can do it! I will show you how.

The standard approach to losing weight is to simply “eat a balanced diet, get an adequate amount of exercise, and increase your metabolism” If this was going to work, we would all be skinny and the weight-loss industry would not exist! Is it possible that the scientists, the medical industry, the pharmaceutical industry and the health and fitness industry have overlooked something? What if the ‘fat loss fairy’ was staring them in the face all along?

It was, and it still is! The “Fat loss fairy” exists within your own unconscious mind. When you understand how it works and why it does what it does, losing weight becomes relatively effortless.

In order to achieve your weight loss goal, irrespective of how big or small that goal may be, there are a number of very important questions that need to be both asked, and answered.

Question no’1: What do you want?
How much weight do you really want to lose? Don’t settle for second best. Go for gold! You will find it incredibly helpful to actually identify ‘that weight’ You need to be in a position to map your progress on the way through. By knowing what your ‘perfect weight’ really is, it helps prevent you from settling for second best!

Question no’ 2: Why do you want it?
Sure, it’s very helpful to know what your ideal weight is. The weight that if you actually made it and ‘got to’ would excite you. Not excite you a little bit. Excite you a lot! As important as this is, it needs to be followed by a reason: You need to know ‘why’…. Why do you want to weigh that much? Why are you losing the weight? What is the benefit; the pay-off?

Avoid falling into the trap of doing this for ‘someone else’ Don’t do it for your husband, or your wife. Don’t do it for your kids. Don’t do it for anyone else. Do it for you! It’s time to put yourself first. Make achieving this goal the single most important thing you have ever done in your life.

Question no’ 3: How much do you want it?
Think about this for just a moment: If you don’t really want something, you wont tend to do what is needed in order to actually get it. However, if you want something and want it lots, you will tend to move heaven and earth in order to actually ‘get it’… Desire! The more you want something, the more likely you are to actually get it! Desire is the engine of change… Without desire, nothing would ever change or improve. Without desire, you’ve got no chance of getting to your ‘perfect weight’ Desire is the emotion that kicks the ‘Fat loss Fairy’ in the butt. If you really want to “Kiss your Arse Goodbye”, then focus on the emotion of desire! Want it…and want it lots!

Question no’ 4: What will life look like when you actually get to your goal weight?
Think carefully about this question. What will your life look like when you weigh your perfect weight? The weight that really excites you. What areas of your life would improve? How will you feel when you achieve your weight loss goal once and for all? How will your success impact others? What would it feel like to know that you had managed to ‘inspire’ others to improve themselves… If you can do it, they can do it! Just imagine right now what life will look like and how you will feel when you succeed.

This is a critically important step in the whole process. The “Fat loss Fairy” responds to your emotions and the images you create in your own mind! It’s time to put yourself first, and one of the first steps to take is to stop playing horror movies in your head, and start playing movies with a happy ending. Your inner fat loss fairy wants nothing more than to ensure a ‘happy ending’ If you mentally play horror movies in your own mind, the fat loss fairy will become the “wicked weight gain witch”!!!

Question no’ 5: What will life look like if you fail? Or worse… gain even more weight?
Think very carefully about this question also. How would you feel if you struggled for the rest of your life to lose weight? How would you feel if your situation only ever got worse not better? Do you want that? How many diets have you been on in an attempt to get skinny and stay skinny?

You may have noticed question 5 is the exact opposite of the previous question. There is a reason for this: Your inner ‘Fat loss Fairy’ thinks in pictures. By vividly imagining what life will look like if you were to fail, you are creating a ‘horror’ movie in your mind. You are providing a distinctly different picture for your own mind to respond to. Your answer to question no’ 4 is the polar opposite to question no’ 5. Your emotional reaction as a result of those thought processes is also the polar opposite. One is positive, motivating and inspiring. The other creates a sense of hopelessness, powerlessness and futility.

Your answer to question no’4 is the outcome you want. Your answer to question no’ 5 is the outcome you definitely don’t want.
